In the US, the age of sexual consent depends on the state and varies from 16 to 18 years. In 29 states and the District of Columbia, the age of consent is 16 years, in 9 states - 17 years, in 12 states - 18 years. In most states, the age of consent decreases, if the partners have a small or not too big age difference or if the older partner has not reached a certain age. However, each country has its own laws and the age of sexual consent in these countries can also vary.

As you can see, 18 years is the age of sexual consent, which is strictly observed in the eastern and Asian countries. And this is not surprising, because it is in these places that a huge influence on the masses is exerted by religion, which dictates its rules and norms of social behavior. Isolated on this list is Ireland, which also has strict laws with respect to the younger generation. However, in Saudi Arabia, for example, such a concept as the age of sexual consent doesn't exist in principle. Any pre-marital relationship is strictly prohibited in this country.
