WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell, Jr. (27-1, 16 KOs) wants to collect a collection from all the prestigious belts. And for this he intends to win the WBO belt holder Vasily Lomachenko (8-1, 6 KOs).
BoxingScene transmits his words.
"My career in this sport almost ended. I have two more years. As an athlete, I achieved everything I could. But there are a couple of things that I would like to do. I would like to combine the titles before my career is over. And I would love to fight Lomachenko twice more. Because after I beat him for the first time, I have to do it again. If everything goes according to plan, then this will be the end of my career."
Well, Russell is responsible for his words and systematically goes to the goal. May 20, in Maryland, he gave no chance to Oskar Escondon to win (25-2, 17 KOs), defending his belt champion by the WBC version.
