The boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather seems to be coming soon.
At least, according to the president of the UFC. Last Wednesday, Dana White gave a couple of comments after the match between Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers in this regard.
NBA star Shaquille O'Neal asked White during the post-game broadcast whether a really big clash would really happen.
"From the side of McGregor everything is decided. Now we are solving the problems on Floyd's side. One side of the contract is ready, now it's time to work with another. If we manage to come to an agreement with Al Haymon and Mayweather, then the battle will happen", the UFC president explained.
He also commented on the issue of the rules of the battle: whether it will happen by the rules of MMA or boxing.
"The fight will go by the rules of boxing"
A few minutes later, Conor confirmed on his website (TheMacLife.com) that he had signed his part of the contract.
"It's a great honor for me to sign a record deal with my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management," McGregor said.
"The first and most important part of the contract is solved. Congratulations to all the parties involved. Now we’re waiting for the official reply of Al Haymon and the signature of his boxer."
